Do you remember when you first got involved with God’s mission to the Arab world? Perhaps your family has been involved in mission for a long time. Perhaps someone came to speak at your church many years ago. Or perhaps, like many of those looking to go to the Arab world today, you met one of our team at a Christian event.
There are still vast areas of the Arab world that have never heard about Jesus the Messiah. Many people live in towns and villages that have no active church, often with no believers. We have a role to play, to live, speak, and show the love of Jesus to people.
Each year our team of mission mobilisers travel across the country attending Christian festivals and events to encourage and inspire people to go and show the love of Jesus to people of the Arab world. Our mobilisers help people explore their calling to mission, share testimonies of how God is at work in the Arab world, and encourage them to join in with this mission to reach Arab people for Christ.
Can you help our mobilisers attend twenty of these events this year and start people on their journey into mission?
These events are the beginning of the journey for many and has been for around half of those currently seeking to go on mission with us, including Jenny*.
Jenny’s journey to cross-cultural mission began long before she met our team at a conference for Christian students. But after speaking to our mobilisers about reaching Arabs for the gospel, Jenny became a regular at our events, training, prayer meetings, and conferences. From this first seed, we have been able to see how God has been deepening her heart for the Arab world and growing her abilities to reach the unreached.
Jenny has now become a long-term member of AWM-Pioneers and is seeking where God is calling her to serve among Arabs for the sake of the gospel. The conversations and relationships formed at these events are a significant part of raising up new workers to bring the message of Christ’s hope to the Arab world.
