The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5 (NIV)
As Christmas lights start lining our streets and illuminating our towns, there is a sense of hope that fills the air. Have you felt it?
These lights that shine in the long winter nights give us hope that we are not stuck in darkness. Perhaps this Christmas, these lights will stand out more than ever with all of the challenges facing our world at the moment, from conflicts to fears of energy shortages. But God’s word reminds us that Jesus came into the world to bring us true light. Even more than physical light, Arab Muslims desperately need the light and hope of Christ.
Scripture tells us that outside of Christ all people are living in darkness until they experience the light of the gospel. Can you give today to help share that light and hope of Christ this Christmas?
