‘After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.’
Revelation 7:9 (NIV)
‘After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.’
Revelation 7:9 (NIV)
Have you ever reflected on this passage from Revelation? What an inspiring vision that the apostle John received, that one day we will stand together with those from every nation, tribe, people and language and worship our Lord.
So that we can stand with people from all nations, Christ left us with an important mission, calling us to share his gospel. For some of us this includes going to the nations as mission workers.
Everyone has a different journey to the mission field, but from start to finish our mission mobilisers work closely with them, helping them to discern God’s call and equipping them for life on the mission field. One person our mobilisers worked with recently is David*.
David started to sense a call on his life. Could it be that the Lord wanted him to go on mission? That’s what he thought but he didn’t know how he could get there. Two things stood out to him about this calling – it will be long-term and in the Arab world.
David wasn’t sure what to do next, so he contacted mission mobilisers at Pioneers. He knew they could help him on his journey to being a mission worker in the Arab world.
When our mission mobiliser Joanna* received David’s message about his desire to explore long-term ministry in the Arab world she was delighted. She couldn’t wait to help him on his mission journey.
Joanna invited David to join one of our short-term teams and to attend Mission Explored where he could learn all about mission to the Arab world and his place in it. David was excited; there was so much he wanted to learn.
Through this training David now understands what it means to be a mission worker, and how he can use the giftings the Lord has given him in his ministry. David is moving along in his journey to becoming a mission worker in the Arab world and he can’t wait to get there.
The Lord is moving in the Arab world and bringing people into relationship with him. It is our joy to journey with mission workers as they seek to share the good news with more Arab people. Would you consider supporting our mission mobilisers to reach more people like David?

towards actually going to the
unreached. This weekend has helped me
understand Pioneers much better and
have a clearer idea of the way forward.’
Mission Explored Attendee
This year our team will be traveling up and down the country exhibiting at events trying to find those who God is calling to long-term overseas mission. They are planning on attending nearly 20 multi-day Christian conferences and a further 20 single-day events at Christian Unions and mission fairs. They’re also continuing to equip new mission workers with conferences and training weekends. Can you help our mobilisers find and support new mission workers?
